The first F-5 B of the world.
This model was made to celebrate to retirement of the first F-5 B Freedom Fighter. It was around two year ago. Currently, the real F-5 B is displaying at Royal Thai Air Force Museum.

While working on Stahlhart's Hornet F-18, I took a break this afternoon to try out Chiawatkom's F-5 1/200. I combined Doubting Thomas and Cafe's colouring works and built this tiny bird. Must admit that this is not an easy build at all and without instructions, this is clearly not for beginners. Made some mistakes maybe and had a hard time using the nose cone until I discovered Cafe's readjusted one.
Tardiness here in properly colouring the exhaust pipes More views I understand that Chiawatkom's models are all white and need be coloured after building them. It is clear that you can have as many versions of colour schemes etc as you like. Personally, I prefer coloured plans as I'd rather go back to plastics if I have to do colours on the finished build. No offence Chiawatkom Papermate |

Can you do a good hand painted with tiny insignia, papermate? Did you look them carefully? Today, the price of my original work worth almost $ 300 a piece, depending on the beauty of it. It's human art, mister. Please finish your F-18, I am waiting for your finish work.

The leading edge extensions shouldn't go under the fuselage.
See this pic: I used slightly modified wings (pdf here) for the 2 adversary F-5Ns but the grey F-5Es below use the original ones. I should have glued them 1 or 2 mm aft but that's not the only error I made on these builds. :p

Sample of F-5 from my 16 years old students
Quote:
I do RESPECT for both of you that you can achieve my Northop F-5 A/B/C/E/F plan. Actually, I trained professional people and the high rank Royal Thai Air Force officers in Thailand. The people including of pilot, student pilots, Air Force cadet. And the biggest man I trained were Vice Admiral and An Air Marshall, therefore, they have proper knowledge about the aviation, therefore, it have no instruction but using your instrinct to manage this quiz. If you experienced how to solve the jigsaw, this will use the same rule. Please note that I design my paper airplane for professional use only, so you are qualified to assembly all type of paper plane actually because I do believe that you both have unique knowledge of global aircrafts. "Paper always beats the rock" is the classic motto, therefore please do not compare my model with Tamiya, Hasegawa, Thumpeter, Dragon, Airfix, Monogram because I once experienced that I had to walk a whole day looking for an F-16 a but I got a Kfir instead. It was hurt the feeling of a little kid and that the reason why I want to make this book for facilitating them develop both knowledge and craftmanship skill so they will just going to a high quality digital copy machine, select the plan, then xerox them out and enjoy this activity as same as the kids in Thailand being happy with it.

Chiawat,

At 1/200 scale they do show the size comparisons between the F-5 to a C-130 or a B-52. The picture with the planes on the glass is really impressive! Are you going to give a hint as to scale and how many planes are going to be in your model airplane book? |

I've built the VFC-111 recolor also :
Made a mistake attaching the front and back...my bird is to long now... Sundowner + NF-5 : Nice kit, but it needs a good canopy i think.

Actually, this Northop F-5 E design still need many correction due to there are many error on this cardmodel.
Your skill is awesome indeed. I am surprised with your knowledge over the F-5 because you can make a wonderful curve at the center of its fuselage.
