The T-38 Talon is a supersonic advanced trainer by Northrop. It basically looks like a 2 seat F-5 with slightly different intakes.

You got it Sidewinder. She's been in service for quite a while, and still going strong. NASA has used them for a long time as well for Astronaut training.

Lets not the forget the MOST famous flight team . United States Air Force Thunderbirds. They were used from 74 to 81 before they switched over to the F-16 Falcon

Yes, the Thunderbirds switched over to the F-16s after the entire diamond flight crashed in the California desert during a training flight killing all 4 team members that year.
The cause was a stuck elevator on the Boss' T-38 and and the other members in formation followed him into the ground. Mike |
