Boeing Model 281 (P-26) 1/100 Reupload
Well my friends!
After papermodelers crash solve (i'm very happy this board back) I'm decided reupload thread of my Marek repaint (is avaliabe in Ecardmodels Shop). The P-26 kit in 1/50 scale is a very interesting and a lot of details, very close to the next Marek's generation kits have a nice cockpit and engine, the fit is average but clear. Marek never relase another livery's of kit only OD 18th Pursuit Squadron, so I decide make a two repaints the first is a Boeing Model 281 (export version of P-26) in Koumitang (Nationalist China) Air Force and P-26 of Guatemala Air Force. I build a Model 281 machine in China colors. The Chinese P-26 is used in defence of Nanking in Sino-Japanese War during 1937/38, The P-26 is a dogfight with A5M Claudes of Imperial Japanes Navy: is a first aerial combat with monoplanes in Asia before WWII... Pics: Model in construction... The rigging is made with aluminniun orthodontical wire... Cheers! |

Reconstructing comments after crash
Very nice build Pericles. I'm thinking to buy the one with Guatemala markings, because the Latin American flavor. Your build in reduced scales is admirable my only point could be the cowling which seems to have some "ripples" ( Es la palabra que encontré para ondulaciones ). Congrats !!! Alcides |

Excellent model. Glad to see the photos are back up in the Forum. It has been fun to see the P-26 in a different color scheme.

Cong! Great Model!!!
White painting is the painting of Guangdong local government. In 1936, the Guangdong local airforce flied north and joined national airforce. Those Beoing then changed to green painting, and in 1937, took part in Anti Japanese War. The third picture enclosed is about those Beoings flying north... |
