Great timing Gary they can use a couple of new birds Red Arrows pilot in hospital after jets crash in mid-air | UK news | guardian.co.uk
I can't wait to see this finished it looks marvellous so far Squadron Leader Hanna would be proud.

Way back in the 90's . . . I was holding an After the Airshow Party for all the helicopters at RAF Mindenhall. The Red Arrows were taxiing by to take off and we all ran out and mooned them (some alcohol might have been involved.) They returns our "salute" by turning on their smoke generators and fogging all of us. One of the best days of my life.

I think the Gnat looks better than the Hawk, it looks like a fine Ferrari racer.

I far prefer the Gant - the Airfix kit was one of my first ever models - it reminds me of an MG wheres the Hawk is more reminiscent of a Toyota Corolla...just wish more kit manufacturers in any medium liked it...

Hey SJP, me too, one of my first Airfix models and the sports car analogy sounds spot on.

Gary, I have the Gnat feature-issue of the short lived Jets magazine if it would be of any help?

This one's gonna have a cockpit, Gary? If so, Gixergs may just collapse on us, overcome with emotion!

Gnat or Hawk, doesn't matter as long as they are in Red Arrows colours
9 of these would make...
