Expectations for posting build-ups?

Being new here I'm trying to figure out how things are done.

For example, is it expected that I will post step by step images of anything I'm building? I've never been one to document every step I take in completing a model.... I've done it, but am not particularly partial to it.

It appears that there is a lot of that going on in this group...... is that what you guys want, expect, desire?

Just trying to figure out what the MO is in the group.

simple answer

Do whatever you feel comfortable with

If you want to write a build thread, showing your progress in pictures, it is highly desired by the membership(one can refer back to it, or search for it when they want to build it)

If you want to just post pictures of the final model, you can do that too, just be prepared to answer a lot questions about it.

We LOVE pics of any kind, before during or after. We have no set standards and you can post whatever - however you like! You can load your pics to teh gallery here to link in the threads if you dont have dedicated storage anywhere

Actually, this group welcomes all types of paper building (which includes designing as well). We are happy to see all levels of skill, techniques etc. It's totally up to you as to how you want to present your builds. Some people prefer to show the final results, while others go into extreme detail during the build process; mostly to show interesting or unique ways of doing things.

I've been doing this for about 3 years, and I still learn new things all the time!

Welcome!

Ken

Build threads, while greatly appreciated, are by no means required. You certainly don't have to do them, and no one will point and laugh if you don't. (well, not much)

As for me, if you check my build posts, I tend to do step by step build ups but I have also done a few finished models as well. It is just my preference. Sometimes I run into a model that has no build thread to refer to, so I do a build thread on that model. One model that comes to mind is the Danube Class Rubicon. I could not find a build reference for it so I did one for the next one to build it. The most important thing is, Post Pictures of your models so we cans also enjoy in your handicrafts.

Well, we certainly won't point and laugh at YOU, Swampfox, but Old Troll, on the other hand . . .
