Fiddler's Green P-39, "Red 77", 1:72

Here is my most recent completion, a Fiddler's Green P-39, scaled down to 1:72 so I can keep it without cluttering up the house. (My last one was in 1:30, now in front line service as a toy for a friends child!)

Very nice! 1/72 is my favorite scale, too. I've been intending to add a P-39 to my collection for some time now. Your's is so well done it'll give me something to strive for.

That is a very good build, particularly at this scale. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you all for your generous comments. I must confess that my pictures always seem to hide a lot of the imperfections I see when I look at the actual model, but who cares, I'm having fun! :D

Don - If you want to "raise the bar" just scratch-build the little trailing arm linkage springle dingle thingy (real name please?) on the nose gear. I wanted to do it, but found myself too impatient for a "finished" model. Simple bar raising for you, and I get to see my ideas without having to do any work. Everybody wins!!! :p
