First cuts from France..
I had build the nosecone at home, in the usual way; build the part insideout, to make the mold, then filled it with carfiller, sanded it down, and using shrink tube and a hairdryer.. Just because of the scaling up, I was not completely sure of the scale, it could be off by a wee-bit, so i did risk the clearparts for the GPM would fit It's a bit rough, and at home I would do another, but for now it has to do.. Just had to trim the interior part a bit .. |

Billy,
You will find you have to trim all the interior sidewall parts approximately 1mm or whatever thickness the formers are laminated. Also you need to trim the bottom connection area of the interior walls so they do not interfere with the the fuselage section connecting strip. These gaps will not be seen when the interior floor is installed.....Ron |

Ready to Go!
I see I've got some catching up to do. It looks like Billy is moving along a bit faster than I am.
I finally got all the sheets printed out and sprayed with two light coats of Krylon Matte. I printed the sheets off using a color laser printer on some nice 80# matte cover stock that I found laying around at work. I also printed some of the sheets on 70# matte text (which is much thinner) These sheets are made up mostly of the interior walls and other parts that get glued onto the vac-u-formed canopies. It was a bit humid outside this evening. It has been raining on and off most of the day and the temp here is very warm in the upper 80's - low 90's (it feels like a sponge outside) but the Krylon went on real well and dried with out any problems. Now that I got all of the prep work done I can finally start building. Stay tuned |

Great start Kevin. Save the extra card stock that
is cut off the bottom of the sheets. It will be used later for wing spar and rib strengthening...Ron |

First Cut
I have officially made my first cut...Part one is under way. This is the outside skin of the mid section of the fuselage. The windows were cut out and transparency film was glued in place using CA glue.
Coming up next are the formers and full interior details for this section.... |

Kevin,
Keep up the good dialog and build sequence photo's. This build may have to serve as the instruction and illustrations that are sorely missing as the model is now.....Ron |
