Just a little update. I got a little bit more done on the Seatrout. By the time this is all over I am going to be tired of folding containers, I need close to 100 single containers for the dock area. I am off the next three days so I will get more done.

Thank you Stephen.

Just noticed I wrote, "Seatrout" I meant Sealand. The Seatrout is another vessel I am working on.

Shaun, that is a very nice set of models you have built/created!

The SEALAND EXPRESS came out quite well, and I look forward to seeing your further work on her, as well as the prospective diorama you have mentioned, this will be quite impressive!

I take it this is all at 1/400 scale? Really VERY nicely done!

I think you might be able to replicate many of the container stacks within the marshalling area of the container terminal using the container stacks from the ship files, just make sure you limit the heights to what is usually found in the actual terminals land-side, which is three to four high...there are some instances where empty containers are stacked higher, but keep in mind the efficiency of terminal operations try to limit the number of moves needed to get to a particular container, so three to four is the usual limit, as far as I can recall.

Really loving what you are doing with this project!

Cheers!
Jim

I think the maximum stacking height is 4, as that is how tall those car carriers are...

Jim I am already one step ahead of you, I did just that last night. I made some 2, 3, and 4 stacks and a bunch of single. Also made some 20' singles and stacks.

To every one else, thank you for the kind words. I love this build but in my eyes it isn't perfect, there are a few things I wanna go back and redo. Being a photographer I know how to get the right shot were you don't see the mistakes. LOL Believe me though, when it is all done it will be perfect.

Cool!

Please let us know when and how we can get the other accessories to the terminal, when you have a moment.

Looking forward to seeing more updates when you are able!

Cheers!
Jim
