I have to agree with Zathros and Don, really brilliant work here, bazzer!

I see plenty of detail in the various guns and other items you added, very nicely done!

Cheers!
Jim

Looks nice Barry. It looks like she's just about fitted out, and was noticing the formidable view it presents from the bow. Good job as always, designing all these parts as you go..quite amazing

Thank you John, Don, Jim and birder

There is no good reason for these pics except it was a good day for a daylight picture.

My attempt at mass producing cotton railings amazing how much pressure applying superglue puts on the frame.

It is a free pattern from one of the best shipdesigners but I am too tired to remember who at the moment. think gunboats !!!

Agano looks great, Barry!

Although I can't be entirely sure, the frame looks one of David Hathaway's (PaperShipwright) Paper Shipwright - Card Models

Here is his free railing template:

Hello Barry:
I hope you keep us updated on the "cotton" railings.
What did your relatives from New Zealand have to say about your ships?

Thanks Don and Mike

The railings turned out quite well the 8 inch lengths fill a cruiser side quite quickly. One thing to note when using card templates is that the second use of the frame is much easier than the first because the thread has cut it's own notches in the frames. Your eyes do cross occasionally I must admit.

Wotcher, bazzer!

I have to say you have become quite proficient making the cotton thread rails...I remember when you used to work with pins and wire, soldering things up, but your change to using cotton thread seems to have given you the desired uniformity and fine look for these scales...job so very well done, mate!

Cheers!
Jim

Thanks Jim I am going to have to make a stronger frame for constructing ships rails but for my abilities of keeping threads straight I shall make it half the length.

A reminder of Wilfrieds trick of cleaning up the edges of the bridge platforms with 1 mm wide card strips.
