That image from the port bow is very evocative. Beautiful lines to that ship that you have captured very nicely in your model, Barry.

Final underwater skin
Again I used 160 gsm card to do the skinning but decided to use Carl's method of working from the middle outwards to the bow and stern. Worked out well the bows were trimmed using a small pair of curved scissors and the stern fitted fine. It needs a coat of paint and some light sanding but I am quite pleased with the effect. Tomorrow I will make sure the edges are glued firmly down.
Thanks Ted, Mike and Don. |

Looks really great Barry. I really enjoy the juxtaposition of the models.

A very smooth hull, Barry. Z speaks truth: the image of the two models side by side is a treat.

A coat of paint
Thanks old friends
Not very exciting she has a coat of paint now. Not up to the best standards but my sanding usually does not work so well so this has to do. Had to take the pic here it was the only place with the right lighting. |

Looks pretty good to me also. This is of course why I don't do ships with the big red bit below the waterline!

Hullside start
As Richelieu and Enterprise are at sea I have fallen back on to Agano just out of dry dock after being straddled by a flying cup of coffee. I put a couple of glue marks on the deck as I was reparing it. The stern section will require about 2mm extra length to join up properly.

My goodness, Barry! It sounds as if you subjected poor Agano to as much grief as the ship withstood at Rabaul! Although I do not think the U.S. Navy TBF that tagged her was dropping coffee.
That hull still looks mighty pretty. Don |

Hull closed up
Finally added the stern plates I had to add a few millimeters to the stern section and then trim them back to fit I also added a 80 gsm stemplate to the bow. This is quite a difficult hullside to mould to the contours required and it needed a bit of trimming in places, overall it looks ok. She needs to sit on the windowsill for a couple of days for the colours to match again forgot about the sun this last couple of weeks not used to it in England.
