Well that was certainly unexpected and a nice gesture. Armourbooks has been around for some time and does have a section of pirated models. I'm glad for you Barry that they took it down. You guys did a great job on this one. Kudos to you as well!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Real life has been sticking its ugly nose in far too often these past couple of months.

Maybe this is a sign of things to come at armourbooks? It would be nice to have a legitimate site like that that focused on legitimate models. I would be happy to point people to a site that focused on the real freebies

I can not constantly monitor your site (I tell it to people, who send me personal messages. They question brought up for discussion, about results you will be notified). I repeat: for questions - please contact the website administrator (Feedback link). It will be faster.

so the point is, whenever you see something you don't agree with, contact the admin of that site.
you never know, they may just be agreeable and remove the offending item.
(just like Nozo has done here!)

Barry, The Sealand Express is a nice model. I was actually cruising the net collecting information on the D9J series Container Ships as I want to build one out of styrene in N scale 1/160. I'm planning a large seaport complete with container cranes. Stumbled onto the link for your model. Bought myself a copy. I have bought a few card model freighters from WILHELMSHAVEN scanned them in and converted them from 1/250 to 1/160. The first freighter is just starting to come together. But I had to have a simi-modern deep water container ship and after seeing the D9J's I decided that was the type I wanted to build. But I am more of a builder than a designer. Building your model first should give me the insight I need to build a larger version. Joined the group and read the entire post on building the model.

The thing is this model is still available able at pirate link removed and so is many other paper models. They had a lot of models of JSC which were recently removed after they complained.

any model pirated once, will be forever pirated.
especially by Russians it seems.

all you can do is be vigilant...
-report the piracy to the original author or owner of the model (if you can).
-file a DMCA report with the file host company (if you are the author/owner or rep for author/owner)
-alert the site you found the pirate link on. (suggest they remove the file, point them to the authorized file,
threaten to leave the site permanently if they support this activity
-send dead chickens to the family of the paper model pirate with a note explaining why.

it seems the russians give these pirated models away, the chinese sell them or sell free models, i dont know which is worse
