Have something soon, playing with the canon's. Looking at a different way of mounting them and the only thing you will see is the barrels when done. Making a mounting wall to put on the inside to glue the barrels too.so far looks like it will work. Sould have a pic in just a bit.

I cut the base just undersize so it would fit inside the turret. then I colored it black and glued it in flush with the bottom. I then took your backing for blocking off the canon openings and cut it long to about 1." and folded it at about 1/8" in on both sides so it would fit down in. Will color it completely black and glue to the side walls. Then insert the canon barrels and glue to the wall.

Fantastic work! Now I REALLY can't wait to see it finished. Would you recommend incorporating your method for the gun placement into the finished model?

If you would like to, I think it would make it easyer for everyone and would give the same look. I just took what you already had and just modified it.

Well, here's what I've ended up with. I will post a more detailed "build" once I go through my stock photos. I have to see what's usable, my photographer isn't that good . I hope you like it. This was a fun build. I've built it as at rest with both guns stowed ( if they could stow both guns at the same time...I don't really know for sure ).
