beta builder needed for Direct 3.0 Jupiter-246 Upper Stage
I have a PDF, but it may not be 100% right, as I originally did it at 1/72. During that build, I ran into a problem with the nosecone and the transition from the 10m PLF. This model is in 1/144. Also, there are no instructions yet. I wanted some feedback before I wrote them. I also don't want to color anyone's interpretations or impressions by saying anything, if that makes sense... ;D
I think I have all the parts in the file, so if there's anything missing, please make a note of it. There's not really a rush on this, but I have gotten a good dozen emails wanting to know when it will be released. Since it isn't ready for Prime Time yet, I'd appreciate no build threads be made public, but by all means, take photos so I can see where the problems are. I'll be more than happy to answer any questions. Also, if you have any suggestions for fixing any problems or issues that might be extant, I'd be more than happy to hear them, or to see fixes. Please let me know if you're interested, my email is: lancer 525 at g mail dot com Here's a quick photo of what it should look like. It's the large upper stage on the right, plus the black and white ring. |

Re: beta builder needed for Direct 3.0 Jupiter-246 Upper Stage
Okay...
I think I have all the correct parts in a PDF file for anyone willing to Beta. The only place I am totally sure of that there may be a problem is the transition from the PLF to the Nosecone. The rest of it should go together okay. PLEASE email me at lancer525 at g mail dot com if you download and build. Just click on the white block and you'll get the PDF. |

I know there's no instructions, but do you have any ref pics? I may be able to squeeze this in this or next week.

Re: beta builder needed for Direct 3.0 Jupiter-246 Upper Stage
I built this thing in one big hurry, so I don't have any but a few finished item pictures. I'm sorry, but I only had 11 days to put the whole thing together, and it was drawn to be built at 1/72, which is the size in the photo above. I've scaled it down to 1/144, but I don't know if the fit and finish is going to work at that size, which is why I asked for beta builders...
Sorry, but this is it. |

Lancer525's last post here is 3+1/2 years old. I doubt if he's still looking for a beta builder anymore.
