No problem Avery. With family arriving this week I won't have a lot of time anyway. Just send it this way when you can.

Scott, if you're still up for finishing this build I can have the parts to you tonight. The snow granted me some time to do the update.

Avery, Just to let you know I have started the build and still have a little extra height on the Part H above former B about .5mm. I will just cut that down and continue. Parts L amd M are a little tall as well. I have taken some photos but for some reason my computer isn't recognizing the memory card so I may have to buy a new card and take them again.
I won't be able to get anything done today. I have some family business to tend to. I'll send another update late tomorrow. |

Thanks for the update and corrections Scott, I'm looking forward to the photos....no rush though! I'll be gone from tomorrow until Monday/Tuesday just FYI.

Here are a few pics as promised. I've actually gotten a little further along than I am showing so far but it's not dry yet. The first photo shows the former layout. You might notice that Part G is reversed on the revised parts sheet. I doesn't affect the build but I thought I might mention it just in case.
So far the fit is pretty good. I have a little extra length with both N parts. Not too much though. I drew two lines .5mm out on either side of the base centerline to help with central former allignment. I think it would be a good idea for designers to add this kind of feature. It sure is easier than guessing where the line is under the former. I didn't think to add some alignment marks to the top of the main deck for parts L and M. I guess I'll have to do it after they are finished drying. Lines would definately help there. Part M will be difficult to center since there is only one cross former. Hard to it keep square just by eyeballing. How do I need to address the extra height with parts L and M? Should I take it from the top, bottom, or a little from both? The step in part M needs to be a little taller unless I just made the decks too thick. Also where does part O go? |

Here are some more photos. I added another former at the step down from the foredeck to the main deck. I thought it might give the hull skin a little extra to grab on to. You can also see the extra length of both N parts.
Well if real life isn't bad enough it just got worse. The sewer pipe from my house to the main sewer line has collapsed. I may be out of the loop for a few days. I'll update when I can. |

Looking great Scott! Sorry I missed your question earlier, when lowering the height take from the bottom (that's how I always do it, a little from both would probably work too), but it looks like you got it figured out. Thanks!
