Currently Reading...

Recently I have taken notice of more and more posts regarding different books that members around here are reading. I thought it would be kind of nice to put a list together in one place.

So when you're not too busy cutting, folding and gluing... What are you reading? Inquiring minds want to know!

At the moment I'm reading (again for like the 3rd time)the WWII classic Currahee! by Donald R. Burgett

The book is based on a first hand account of his expierences as a Screaming Eagle in the 101 aireborne division. It's and excellent book and very hard to put down.

The Firm - John Grisham. Never read it before, thought I would catch up.

Currahee! is a childhood favourite off my although I've only ever read the Reader's Digest version...

Just finished Popski's Private Army and am now immersed in The Essential Silver Surfer anthology...

On the Kindle: Wool (omnibus edition) by Hugh Howey. Slow, but addicting. People living in gigantic underground silos to protect themselves from the outside. Probably gonna get the others in the series.

Don't Stop the Carnival by Herman Wouk and just finished Youngblood Hawk. Enjoy the style of writing and have The Caine Mutinty and Winds of War laying around waiting on me to get to them. It's a Herman Wouk thing now.

"Locked On", by Tom Clancy with Mark Greaney. I'm a big Clancy fan and read all of his books plus Vince Flyn.

I'm also catching up on anything to do with Military History.

master and commander/aubrey-maturin series

The movie of the same name inspired me to start reading the entire series. Am finishing Post Captain; second in the series (only 18 titles to go).
