A good read
This is a great read especially for people of a certain age who grew up in or went to college in California or in the NY-Boston area. Maybe the book mentions someone you knew.

May have to find a copy of that and check it out. I remember when I discovered a way to patch through our phone board were I worked in the 60's to use the company toll line in a different state for long distance calls. And a friend who learned to use a flute to duplicate the tones for the long distance access codes. Guess we've always had hackers as long as there's been any type of electronic (or electric) based communications.

we hooked straight into the pole box from our tree house and even had an intercom we made for the different levels. memories....................... my dad was so mad. |
