Paper Astronaut
Hey guys, I just came back from the bookstore and found two awesome books.
The first is Collective Electrodynamics, which builds up electromagnetics from quantum dynamics, but I guess you won't be too interested in that The second is Paper Astronaut, by Juliette Cezzar. If you remember, she also put out this book: Another new book In this case it's now space craft! Amazon.com: Paper Astronaut: The Paper Spacecraft Mission Manual (9780789318817): Juliette Cezzar, Buzz Aldrin: Books Has an introduction by Buzz Aldrin, some general space flight info, followed by a page or two on a ton of historical space craft. Full page photos, a few paragraphs on each, mission/craft stats, scale comparison charts, pages of mission insignia, and a glow in the dark cover even! At the back you have 20 punch out models. They look very nice, though I haven't built any yet as I just bought it. Here's the list: Sputnik 1 Explorer 1 Little Joe Vostok 1 Mercury capsule Gemini-Titan stack Gemini capsule Soyuz capsule Proton rocket Saturn V Apollo command and service module Skylab Viking 1 lander Voyager 1 (= 2) Space shuttle Columbia Mir space station Hubble telescope International space station Shenzou 7 Ares 1 As you can see quite a lot of cool stuff! Edit: It turns out every craft they talk about has a model, so that's all there is. Some have several pages of photos.

I originally bought the book for my son, with the intent to give it to him as a Xmas Gift. But now I'm not so sure, I think I want to keep it for myself!:D
