Gonna need a bigger boat.....

Lets see. I have most of the Arco/Aircam series in duplicate*
All of the Aircraft Profile series in duplicate and triplicate* as well as the bound versions.
All of the Ballantine War histories - many in duplicate.
All of Nedyalkov's books on Bulgarian aviation.
A fair assortment of Ospreys.
A hand full of Hikoki pubs.
Some of the Putnam series
A four foot long shelf of looseleaf 3-views.
And some more stuff too

* All part of preparation to open a book store eventually

One thing to be aware of is that there are actually a significant number of "profiles" out there that ARE NOT accurate when you actually compare them with a picture of the real thing.

yes - I know, unfortunately I found some of the osprey ones have issues so I highly recommend trying to find more than one representation when doing any livery. Thanks for mentioning that as its a very important issue. maybe we need another thread for additional research references Old troll sent me a couple really good sites!

i like the Squadron/Signal In Action and Walk Around books
The In Action books have usually a center spread of a couple of different aircraft with close ups of the various nose art, or in the case of the helicopters, true nose art

this is one of my favorites
Military Aircraft Markings isbn 0681414618

i also like the Warbird Tech series, by Specialty Press out of Minnesota
I have two volumes of theirs of my favorite mudmovers, the A-10 Warthog, and the AH-56 Cheyenne

Dare I add this book?! Free from inside a plastic kit?
Revell Blue Angels ISBN 0-9709900-8-1
Color photos, black and white photos and some color profiles.

Two publications I picked up years ago for free during airshows; no ISBN on them.
1) Ghost Squadron of the Confederate Air Force: Wings of Freedom. {color photos and brief history of various aircraft maintained by them. Now Commemorative Air Force.}
2) A History of Military Aviation in San Antonio {black and white and color photos of various aircraft that was flown out of San Antonio; Randolph AFB and Kelly Field.}

Additionally, I have several aviation themed novels which also contain black and white photographs, one Centennial Edition Air & Space Smithsonian magazine (March 2003), one issue of Air Classic V39 No5 (has article of Kidd Hofer P-51 ace) and about 22 and counting (as I get them) Air Force Magazine publications (various dates) that I get from a co-worker because of all the aviation articles in there. The last page of each issue usually highlights some plane in history "Airpower Classics" with a brief history, top view and color profile of a particular plane with it's significance.

I may have other books, but I have been missing a box of books from my last move that my sister only told me this past weekend that the box may be at my mothers house.

For Italian birds the Serie Ali d'Italia is great.
Also the spin of series.
For Europe see: La Bancarella Aeronautica
And the USA : Pacific Coast Models

I also love the serie Planes and Pilots from Histoire & Collections.
Some books are in English and others in French.
