In April, stay well clear of ANY political gathering or rally. General elections are April 23rd, and if the October 1st bomb attacks in Abuja were any indication, this election season will be bloody. *Trouble, Nigerian style...

Drmx - Wise advice! April will be a bad month - so bring a paper model to make for when you get holed up and can't move! (A Micromodel since you are on holiday ...... your workshop in a cigar box blah blah etc)!
Is your other half going to vote? Marco - I built the Leopold in 1/35 (plastic kit) - what a nightmare. Thing is huge and I have ended up sticking it in a cupboard. Finished it and lost interest before I got to do the painting, as it was sooo big bits kept getting broken off! |

My vote
Hello,
I did vote for the Regulus: a wonderful ship, a wonderful cardboardmodel, I have the model myself, but still to be built etc. etc. And above all: I have nothing with military stuff. May I suggest an additional model: The Nasa Crawler at scale 1 : 96. A beautiful model, extremly well designed and on top of that: reasonable seize after finishing ( approx. 35 x 35 x 15 cms) And unbeatable number of parts: 11.289 pcs. Have a look at www.microartwork.com. Best luck, Gert Vlaanderen |

Gert, have you seen that Joerg Schulze has started a building report on that kit? "Crawler Transporter" / MICRO Artwork / 1:96
I may order it too, but won't travel out of Nigeria before December, and may develop withdrawal symptoms before then... By the way, I'm halfway building a crate to get the SD-14 out of Nigeria; although I may have to leave most builds behind here, I'd kinda like to keep that one.

Gert - yes indeed - the Crawler!
I have been debating on buying this, but, would I ever really build it.....? Probably not.......... |

And Marco - by the time it is finished maybe the associated Gantry will be ready?

I'm in doubt on what to do with it... it is a fantastic kit, but I'm thinking of saving it for the Netherlands. I have built HMV's Augusta Victoria and Bremen before, and it would make such a nice display with the three of them.
