Questioning Halinski
just got my spanking MasterCard from the mail today, and was contemplating on where to purchase a published kit when i stumbled upon halinski's site about this message:
Dear Mr and Mrs! We don't engage our products in retail trade beyond Poland. You can buy our products at our sales representatives, a list of them is below. All distributors providing instructions in English. Polish companies are not allowed to sell our products abroad. just need a little more explanation about this

I believe what they are saying is they don't deal directly with the public, but that you would have to buy their products through the authorized dealers listed below the statement.

Halinski models are available from a number of online shops including the Paper Model Store, GPM and Model-Hobby. These are all dependable, authorized sellers of Halinski products.

You could try stores in Korea, Taiwan or Japan listed on the site. This should save some shipping costs, although knowing situation of us, folks here in North America, I'm not that confident they are actually carrying any Haliński kits.
Your question brings up another issue about availability of Halinski kits in general. It looks like in North America there is no single authorized seller. Does anybody have any experience buying AH kits from Hobby Factory in Canada? It's listed as authorized seller but since I remember they don't have any in their catalog.

Jason still has stock, but due to the house he is building, and the impending birth of Son #2, he has decided to shut the physical model side down, and still have the digital models available At some point in time He will reopen the store to physical model purchases Rick

The problem I have is trying to find a dealer that has all the kits I want along with the laser cut frames and or track links.
I have purchased in the past from Marcle Models in England. Prices are higher but they used to include shipping. For Armor fans Panzer Hobby Art has the Halinski armor kits and Piter will go out of his way to get what he does not have in stock for you. He is also a member of our list AKA peterpanzer. My last order was to Jadar hobby it took them almost 2 weeks to ship but the models were on my door step undamaged within two weeks after shipping. In general the kits a less costly in Poland then in the US but you will have relatively high shipping costs. If you order more then one kit the shipping cost will become less of an issue. It is not unusual to order $40 in models and have $25 to $30 in shipping costs. I would also set up a PayPal account and use it to purchase the models. Credit cards will sometimes charge you a fee because of the exchange rate. Lastly ask for a quote on the shipping cost and cost of the models Poland has a 22% VAT and the seller will usually deduct that from the cost of the models. Jim Nunn
