I'm just gonna leave this one alone. I haven't seen a bit of bashing anywhere.

I think I'll transfer my track technique and PzKpfw 1F / 1A builds - the forum it was on has lost all the images of the 1F build and the track technique (I think). Fortunately I've still got the original images.

Regards,

Charlie

I hope both forums can survive and thrive. I see no reason that they can't, provided both sites can accomodate the desires and needs of the hobbyists. I'm certainly going to give CardModels.Net more time to sort things out. The realities of making something work rarely equate to the ideals of something that does work.
I have to be honest though and say that I'm in a bit of a quandry as to which site I'll bore with my next Stuka build!:D
Personally, I'm going to enjoy the great new site with both familiar and new faces and I'm going to keep up with the other site and give them what support I can. The world is full of enough paper models to fill them both!

No forum bashing going on. Just people expressing how they feel. Just for your information Mark, Cardmodels.Net no longer exists and hasn't done for a couple of months it's Forum.Zealot.com...

There can't be too many card modeling sites in English so I shall do both and be glad I am lucky enough that there are people who will spend their time and cash for my benefit and if at times things go wrong (as they always do) well that's life. Of course at that point in time like every one else I expect instant solutions.

So three rousing cheers to ALL Admins is my comment.

I think for sure I'll copy all my posts from my currently running build over here and probably update them both in parallel and see what happens. I think how well this forum fares would determine whether I would ever bother copying the older ones over.

My point was not one trying to dis the other place at all, but if a great many card modelling folks start gravitating here, and they want to build a subject and go looking for a prior build thread for guidance (as I have always done), they might appreciate it being here. Please don't take my question or comments as trying to bash Peter or CM.

Which was my purpose exactly in moving my old thread over here.

I am not sure if I will,

Seeing that I created two albums for my soldier builds, and both of those are gone, I do have the pictures saved to my online album.
I just might point people there.

as for the other builds i have done, only those threads whose pictures are saved to my comcast account, will still thrive.

I will be building more new stuff, and it might be good to start fresh at times

Rick

We have been maybe a bit blunt in veiled references to CM, but it is not like everyone at one time or another has experienced it.

I have let Peter know what I felt of the move, the combining of the sites, and i have let him know that as a hobby site, he has severly hampered the usability of the site.

But I was just an admin, he is the owner of record.

Rick
