Taylor Aerocar

For those that have built the FG version, aviation cranks (like me) or anyone who can write a check with multiple commas, Taylor Aerocar S/N #2 is for sale on eBay

Link

I have no affiliation with the seller, but would be more than willing to accept a finders fee<g>

Looks like a bargain:D:D,
I didn't know that they ever build more than one.
But it would be nice to have something like that sitting on your drive-way

Petty Cash Purchase...,

Shrike,

The buy now price is way too high in today's market if one still exists. Sounds like another economic victim is selling off the toys...,

Billy,

In Rotterdam, you need a driveway period.

That one's been up for sale for about year now. Some great reference photos.

There was a very significant patent give for plate design used in absorbing the vibration of the shaft that powered the pusher prop.

I used to golf with a retired CIA Agent who had his own F-86H minus the guns. The gun bay was where he stored his luggage. That's around the same operating expense level as tooling around in a turbo-shaft engined helicopter (a cost I can't even comprehend for personal use). I could see it if it was a two seater he could use to pick up ladies. LOL

The trick is finding the right ladies.

Years ago my old boss' son went off to college in Tucson . He had a SNJ-5 (T-6), a Ryan STA and a brand new 944. He traded the Porsche for a pick-up so he could get girls <sigh>
