Need help finding a model page.

I'm not sure where to find this fellow but I remember a website that contained amazing models.

The fellow was named Rhozan or Rozhan or whatever. I have searched on and off for a long time and cannot find it on the net.

Someone here knows what I am talking about. All I can remember is that this fellow built a B17 Bomber and the 'ball turret' alone was a model itself.

Can anyone point me to this website?

Holy Smokes!! Those aren't models... they're individual works of art.

The models are in aluminum, according to the website:
"HAND-MADE EXHIBITION AIRPLANE
MODELS IN ALUMINUM
FOR THE DISCRIMINATING COLLECTOR"

Anyway, they look great!

It Happens...,

StevO,

I also lost the link. It was only after a marathon search session that his website was found again...,

By the way I'm still thinking about natural metal surface for card models. I've made some progress but need to carry out a few experiments to prove out the technique...,

The model car club that I belonged to in SoCal had several people that stratchbuild using metal. Most used half hard brass, or ocassionally copper or aluminum and formed it over carved wooden masters. For some of the simpler shapes, some just used sand bags and old style panel beater techniques. To see some examples check this site out. Wingrove Site Menu Gerald is one of the masters of model car constuction.

Thanks! It's an interesting site to explore. He shows some of his construction techniques. Forming over hardwood block or "buck" is something I've been mucking with...,

I have seen an F6F Hellcat done in aluminium sheet(salvaged from Coke cans). The model was transferred from a PMI paper kit onto unrolled Coke cans and then assembled in the normal manner and painted. I have a how-to book written by the guy who did it lying around somewhere. The result nothing like Rojan's stuff though... I would say his miniature aircraft are 'actual aircraft scaled down', rather than just models. Mind boggling...
But if you want to try making a paper model in metal try an internet search on 'Can-du modeling'.
