Are not the people in the crosshairs the same folks who haven't yet recovered from Hurricane Sandy? What could they have done, to anger Mother Nature so much?

Seriously, though, our thoughts, best wishes, and prayers go out to all of you in the path of this terrible storm.

We've gotten almost a foot already. I'm soaked from shoveling, and it's still coming down hard. Thank heaven for helpful neighbours. The gentleman across the road from us finished off the heavy stuff at the end of our driveway with his big tractor. Thanks, Tom!

Lets see if I have any energy left to work on any models now, although I'm nowhere near done moving snow yet...

So Ultra that means your weather in Cairo is about the same as here in Phoenix.

At least snow melts. Sand piles up and gets in everything. I would rather shovel snow. Although I would have to travel an hour into the mountains for that. In all fairness I shoveled my share of snow these ar picture of my last year in Michigan back in 79

I really enjoyed looking at your photos, Tim, glad you posted them.
Reminds me of the winters we had when I was a kid.

We got lucky up my way, no real wind to speak of, and the snow has stopped for the moment. Got at least 14 inches here. From the looks of the weather radar, there's still a lot more "fun" to come throughout New England tonight.

Hang in there! I hope all goes well for all of our members in the path of the "real" storm. I'm just on the back edge of it here, what we got was just about what a typical snowstorm used to be around here.
