I started an upcoming models thread there like I have here. Except I didn't post pics. I just added a link as they came up. Nobody said anything for a while. Then Swampfox posted some pics of beta builds he did for me, and next thing I know, I was being "chastised" for advertising commercial models without showing build threads by that certain member who's name starts with the same letter. So I chose to leave. I went back a month or so later, and was banned.

it would be intersting to have a competition to see how many of our members can get banned for no good reason.. i wonder if zathros'es return has to do with the retirement of ekuth? its sad really since zealot was the first place i haunted when starting out on paper so many years ago..... sad really.

we could all just "re-join", complain about "Z", and then co-opt the forum... but i'm sure we all have better things to do besides waxing pedantic.... like building and enjoying paper models..... here. "we have met the enemy, and we have become 'they'" is not really a battle-cry.

"Posting models you have not built nor has any one else will not be approved. There are people who do this and this has caused great problems, recently in this forum. It is not allowed.

Ink is expensive, it is only right that someone knows the model has not been built.

We have had issues in the recent past where people have uploaded unbuildable models. Build threads are necessary, or something really close, that proves the model can be built, that the bugs are worked out, This only makes sense. Also, please assure that it is a model worthy of someone's time, in other words, simple is O.K., but simplistic/sloppy is not the same as simple. You can ask people if they wish to be a Beta builder. You would be surprised how many people will step forward if asked.

I do not want to discourage people trying to learn how to design models. The place to do that is in a thread. In the open. You will get much help, I guarantee you this, and the final model will be yours. Though if you are building a model with the intention to sell it, make sure you state so. Use common sense, be sincere, give what you would expect to receive.

Wow, how restrictive do you get? Best part of all, the rules are all written/modified by Zathros...

It's worth checking out the other "rules", just for a laugh. Someone's on a major power trip there.
