Impressive woodworking and modeling skills!

And indeed, I use whatever materials it takes to make a good-looking model. On my current project -- NASA's Magellan Venus orbiter -- so far I've used the original SCI printed card parts, other cardstock parts, plastic rod and strip, aluminum foil and Sculpey. And the big radar dish kit part is styrofoam!

What an artist. There was a man here with over 100+ models carved from wood. He would bring a large number of them to local airshows for display. When he passed his collection was rumored to be going to a museum somewhere. That was at least 20 years ago.
