WW1 AircraftModels Forum Invite.
Hello to anyone interested in WW1 Aircraft Models, or just wanting to see outstanding models.
As well as being an avid paper modeler, I am also very interested in WW1 aircraft so I've been regularly visiting the forum at ww1aircraftmodels.com. They are mainly about plastic, resin, metal, wood, etc. but I just posted pics of my 1/33 scale paper Fokker D.VI which I'm currently repainting and heavily revising from a Marek kit. I also posted it here in early December, and there will be more progress to follow. There has been a lot of excitement on their forum about the possibilities of paper modeling generated from my post. The Administrator has asked if I would like a new board started to feature Paper Models, and I would like to invite anyone interested to share their WW1 airplane models there. It's a great opportunity to show a new group of enthusiasts just what can be done in paper, and open up a new world to them. Thanks, and I hope to see you over there, George

Thanks a lot George for the link to the forum. A lot of expert tips to learn from it. Will be very helpful in giving our models better details.

It is a great forum, I've been signed up there for a while. The early birds are my favorite! You had to be one tough hombre to face being shot at, breathing castor oil while sitting in a wicker seat behind some thin fabric at 10,000 feet AGL over france in the winter! Toughest Aviators ever!

I just signed up and took a look at a couple of tutorials. I believe a lot of the tips and tricks will apply to us paper people too.
Thanks for the link! Gary

Lief will put some of those wood prop makers out of business with his method for doing them with paper!
Interesting site, will check it out in more depth after work tonight! Thank you for the link. Mike |
