He sure did!
Thanks to his permission the DC-3 project came to life.
And he checked from time to time to see the development.

Damn.

His Saturn V was the first 'official' paper model I built and still one of my favorites, built when my son was born 26 years ago.

My condolences as well. A sad loss to his family and friends, as well as the paper modeling community.

The death of this Champion makes me very sad.
Many of his beautiful models decorate my house.

That really is sad news to hear. A legend has passed away. But his legacy lives on. And in my opinion, someone only really is dead when no one remembers him any more. And with leaving these beautiful models behind for us, Alan Rose too will live on.

Truly a sad occasion. Let me take a moment to say what beautiful models you have chosen to show. Great workmanship, sir, and a fitting tribute to the man and his models.
