I had just rolled into "downtown" earlier today for lunch with a friend when I heard the news on the radio. A truly sad day for a great performer and a fine man. Blues? Sure. Also an original inductee to the rock and roll hall of fame. "The Piano man" said so.

R.I.P. Fats. I can't claim to have been a big fan, but I'll show my age by admitting that I bought at least three of your records ... before I'd even heard of Elvis.
 Of course, being heavily influenced by the Wife, as well as countless vinyl LPs, we now have digital copies of every record Elvis ever made. Enjoy the rest now Fats. Maybe I'll see y'all again soon.
