If anyone is interested in the fail, I dug it out and took a couple of photos.
And here is another video of Chani the robot, with it's new lighted dome:

Here you can see I have made some progress, kinda making the walk cycle like I would an an animation- making it cycle through poses...
But, it's no longer slinging the legs off...so that's progress

Ready for some more fails? Ok. So, the legs on the quad were too long for the mini servos to hold all of the weight needed to get this thing moving. So I disassembled it like a Johnny Five nightmare. I made shorter legs, a lighter weight platform from corrugated cardboard doubled for rigidity, and covered with card stock for looks. The legs now use popsicle sticks and wooden dowels. I will add cardboard and cardstock details to it after I write some more code and get the wires all plugged in right. I also decided I could make a hexapod with the hardware I already have, also to help support more weight. I'm creeping closer to a working version, one step at a time.

Cory, Have a look in here ... https://www.facebook.com/paperkura/
A little way down there's a video called 'Walking Paper' which you may find interesting, and further down still is an excellent one about using simple hydraulics.

Lol, today's insanity: I think I have wrangled all the wires and written enough code to make the legs move.

Thank you so much, John! I really appreciate you doing that for me!!! Just another little update- While messing around with the current version, I found out I STILL had too much weight for the length of the legs and those 9 gram servos. I suppose I could have weighed all the materials, but what fun is that, am-I-right??? Shortened those legs again, and now it's holding up really well. I'll have to scale the turret down to match, but that's a weight savings too, so that's cool. When you're working with 9 g servos, you have to really have to watch those ounces... I'll have to price check some heftier servos one day. I want to be able to add details without having to worry so much about collapsing the legs.

Just watched those videos. That walking robot was beyond incredible! I've tried to make paper gears like that, and what a pain! That level of patience and ingenuity is well beyond me!
I loved the hydraulics video as well Both are are very inspirational!
