Paper models photo'd in front of natural backgrounds
A couple of years ago I brought a model to work to show my co-workers. Inadvertently I held the model airplane up in front of a window (I work on the 21st floor) and the idea hit me to shoot a picture.
I have been having fun looking for appropriate backdrops ever since. Here are a few pictures that I took yesterday and today: |

MacSongLI has been working with John Bowden to improve the graphics on some of the older Design Group Alpha models and I think the results are spectacular!

Great idea - and it does provide a realistic backdrop!

Those look very good.
Try using the clone feature in a graphics program to remove the tweezers holding the model.

Jim and Isaac, thank you so much for sharing the images. They are all amazing, quite realistic, and very well done. Unfortunately some of us (me) are quite challenged when it comes to photography.
