Question WWII Italian trucks camouflage and markings

I'm working on my next 1/50 scale model which is an Italian WWII truck Fiat 626. Right now, it's in the repainting phase and here I've encountered the first difficulties. I need some help with the WWII Italian trucks camouflages and markings. The information about the subject is rather scarce. I can't really find anything useful on the internet. There's a few nice profiles of Fiat 626s used by Wehrmacht by I'm not interested in them. I'd like to recreate a truck used by the Italians.
Colors and camouflages are pretty easy to find but the real problem are markings. Types of registration plates, insignias, numbers, inscriptions, etc. I'd like to know as much as possible about them.

Any kind of help with this subject will be very welcome.

In the attachment, the photo of Fiat 626.
Here's the only one good source I've found so far:

Paperdiorama has released a collection of 5 Fiat trucks (1939-1970) in 1:66 scale. The first one is Fiat 626. May be interesting for you...

Moritzamica, I'm actually using the Fiat 626 by Paperdiorama as a base for my project.
Here's the WIP photo.

I've found another useful source.
https://www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=856

Also, I've made some more progress with my repaint.
I think I'll have to improvise with the markings... So far, I'm only sure how the registration plates look like.

The camouflage I'm recreating is most likely from North Italy or Rome, both 1944.
Here's the new WIP photo:

I found a lot of very interesting Italian WW2 vehicles that deserve models.
But so far only one different clear picture of the Fiat 626 & not very helpful

Unit insignia seem to be put on truck doors, & if space allows next to radiator on driver side. I think the photo I found shows a unit reference on the tail-gate (drivers side again).
This general info could apply:-
Quote:
Geometric symbols mark the different squadrons and the units within the squadron.
A combination of circles, triangles and lines (one to three) in various colours (red, white, orange, blue, green, black) and positions (vertical or horizontal lines, triangles pointing
upwards, downwards or to the sides) to denote squadrons and platoons.
The 1938 symbols were based on rectangles, also in various colours, with a series of vertical white stripes (from one to four, whenever a fourth platoon existed) to denote the squadron and the platoon. The first squadron colour was red, followed by light blue, yellow and green.
& as this is Italian maybe Enrico63 would be able to help you?

Oliver (the guy who has his art on Engines of the Red Army and the Wehrmacht in WW2 in your first post) is helpful. If you email him & he has any relevant drawings/photos he is usually happy to share.

& very OT I really liked the SPA Dovunque 35

Check this french website, it is the most exhaustive and complete source of information for any italian military vehicle of WWII. There are lots of pictures and blueprint. It was offline for a while, but luckily is online again.

hirondelle and emanuele, thanks a lot for your help!

I'll see what I can do to recreate the markings accurately.
In the attachment, another WIP photo. I've finished the camouflage and now I have to add the markings. Later, I'll also design couple more parts that are not included in the original kit. Here I mostly think about the tarpaulin, but there're also some smaller details as well.

When I finish the model, I'll try to contact the Paperdiorama and see if I can publish my repaint & modification. I guess there would be an interest in this truck.

Ok, I think all markings are in their place.

Looks like it only had the white "Tara Q. 35 Portata Q. 30" on the sides. And obviously, the Italian military registration plates.
Hope it's a quite accurate model. It's already printed.
Should be finished this month. I'll show you the final results in "The Armory"

By the way, it's quite interesting fact that the Italians used quintals back then. For a while I was wondering what does the "Q" mean...
