1st Covid-19 vaccination
Received my first Covid-19 vaccination on Feb 13. No problems with any bad reactions, just some slight pain at the injection site. I go back in a month to get the second one.

Excellent, wish I could get one. I hear the second vac shot has a bigger reaction, so make sure you have a couple of days free to recover after getting it. Nothing big, just flu like symptoms. Thanks for sharing.

I got stabbed by an angel a couple of weeks back now. Didn't feel a thing and no reactions whatsoever. I did manage to make her smile though.

With the shingles vaccination I had redness and swelling at the injection site. It ended up looking like a boil.

Ok. Still sounds less reactive than the anthrax vax, so no worries here!

Glad to hear somebody is getting them. I have my semi-annual checkup tomorrow morning so hope to hear something definite about getting it scheduled.
I got the shingles vax a couple of years ago and didn't have any reaction from it. They recommended I get some Tylenol for the soreness. Its still sitting in the box. |

I think it varies a great deal, based on what I have heard from other people and from all of you.
As for me: Shingles: no reaction to first shot; very mild flue-like symptoms and mildly sore arm from the second one. Flu shots: Similar to the shingles shot this year (no reaction at all last year). First COVID shot: neither Lil nor I had any particular arm pain or reaction, but yesterday, more than a week after the shot, my arm began to itch and still does. Might, of course, have nothing to do with the shot, although the itching is in the same area as the injection. Daughter-in-law and her fellow teachers get their second COVID shot next week and, based on experience (and consistent with knife's comment), the authorities are cancelling school the next day anticipating that many of the teachers will experience discomfort. |
