Concorde

Am looking for a large model of the Concorde - only found Ralph Currell's 1:144 version. Of course it can be enlarged, but perhaps there is an original out there? Looking for 1/50, or even 1/33. Grateful for tips!

Hey Diderick,

I know of 2 others:
MegaGraphics, I believe it was similar as the Currell/Erik te Groen-version.
Schreiber bogen. scale 1:100.

Hi!!

I'm also not aware of larger models of the Concorde, unfortunately... I do own the 1/150 MegaGraphic model mentioned by Ponytail and an earlier publishing of the same model from an ABC issue from around 2008, they're brilliantly designed and very detailed, despite the small scale. They'd look marvellous when enlarged!!

I bought my copies from papermodel.cz, I'll drop a link here in case you might be interested.

Thanks for your reactions - going for the ABC version.

I forgot to mention that the ABC kit is printed double-sided, since it is part of a magazine issue, it has things like puzzles and comic strips printed behind the parts.
If you intend to spray the model, you may want to make a copy with a scanner that has processing options that remove things like show-through. Hope this helps!

Diderick: I do have a copy of the Ingenia model which is larger than the ones previously mentioned. The wingspan is 30cm. So, if I did my math right (the Concorde's wingspan is 25.6 meters) the scale is something like 1:85.

Let me know if you'd like me to scan it for you. One thing... it's printed in three colors, cyan, magenta, and silver. The silver, of course, won't make it through the scanning and printing.

hello Tom, that version had slipped my mind - I have one myself! It may be of use to my friend. Thanks for the offer!
