SpaceX Starship prototype 20 being mated with booster

Watched the video feed of the Spacex Starship prototype 20 being mated with the Super Heavy Booster 4 today at Boca Chica, Texas.
Some screen caps:
Nice colors in this one

Shows how big that stack is

Talk about nerding out during the video feed.

are they getting ready for an orbital test soon?
I haven't been watching spaceX since the Starship tests.

Don't know if it will be soon. When it finally flies it is supposed to be a 90 minute orbital flight with the booster splashing down in the Gulf of Mexico instead of landing on the pad and the Starship splashing down in the Pacific Ocean near Hawai'i. There has not been an announcement when the launch and flight will happen.

Depends on whether you mean soon on the TV scheduling scale or soon on the geological scale ...

The segments mated briefly on Friday are codenamed BN4 (the Super Heavy booster) and Ship 20 (the Starship upper-stage). The pair won't launch until they have a licence from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The government agency is currently conducting an environmental review that will invite at some point a 30-day public consultation. So, the maiden orbital outing is still some way off. But Mr Musk is very keen that it should happen well before the end of the year.
