paper models on Internet Archive

I have seen instances of Fly Model and Maly Modelarz come up on Internat Archive (archive.org). Is there some legal expert that can aid me in determining legality of using this as a source for some rare models that I have been searching for?

I watch pirated TV shows on the Internet Archive.
Its a good source for shows that are not in the public domain and not readily available on places like youtube.

The Internet Archive is a great source for legal and pirated material
under the guise of a "not for profit" "free speech supporter".
Once again, just because something is free, does not make it fair use.

And this claim of "preserving the internet and all its content for future generations" is a laugh.
It is nothing more than a modern automated version of a peer-to-peer file sharing site,
where the public uploads the material, and anyone can download.

Since you posted the question, you obviously know the answer already.

Heres my two cents...if you download pirated material, don't share it.
Don't broadcast it.
If you like the model, go out and find a copy of the original and buy it.
(Hopefully from the original author or distributor)
Don't build the pirated copy.

I asked because the copyright laws in Poland might be different than here.

Poland as an EU member will have life+70 years for artistic works.

Some balance to the Internet Archive: whilst there is some potential for it to be used for illegal file-sharing, it has been very useful for investigative journalists who have been able to uncover information and evidence that politicians and others have tried to supress by removing it from live web pages. On the other hand there have been controversies around archiving recordings of live concerts, print media, music and film on copyright grounds.

Ah. Then you should have asked "I live in Poland, where Maly and FLY models are produced, and I wonder if its okay for me to download those paper models (within my country) that I already know are pirated and shared without authorization?"
