Namibia Trip!
Hi all,
I recently had the opportunity to travel to Namibia for a few months to do some research on UAVs and their use in biodiversity surveys and antipoaching efforts (hence my inactivity lately). Having returned a few days ago I thought I'd share some of the pictures that I took while abroad I have a ton of pictures as we saw so many animals, but I'll only hit the highlights (in order: lechwe, zebra, kudu, impala, giraffe, ostrich, oryx, springbok, eland, namaqua chameleon, giraffe, namib sand gecko, oryx, zebra, sable)

Great pictures. Thank you.
One of the guys on Canadian gun forums posted some info+pictures on him working in Namibia and Angola. Good place to visit but not so good to live were his words. He was training police officers there. |

I know this thread is a year old, but I just stumbled upon it and wanted to say that your Namibia trip sounds amazing! I'm so jealous that you got to see all those incredible animals up close. Your research on UAVs and antipoaching efforts is so important, and it's great to see people using technology for good causes. If you ever find yourself in need of a tropical getaway, you should check out Costa Rica. I know it's a bit different from the African savannah, but there are some amazing wildlife experiences to be had there as well. You can even combine your research with some jungle exploration or beach relaxation. Check out www.costaricafocus.com for some ideas. Anyway, thanks for sharing your photos and your research!
