Another try... And bingo! The body of the GP 38 is taking shape.

There is an inevitable delay: Cor was bothered by a 'trigger finger' and has had a successfull operation. He hopes to be back at work in a week or so. In the meantime, the GP-38 is beginning to take final shape! For this picture, the trucks were borrowed from the F-7 model.
Reservations for printed and/or version are very welcome!

Design is finished; Cor is now working on a second color scheme - Chessie rail. When the final test build is complete, the model will be available: hopefully mid january.
Tip: in original life pictures (see Google) the sides of the trucks are decidedly silver. Printing that is impossible; some hobby-paint may be a good idea?
And again: reservations are very welcome - send pm! Printed copy will be 24,50 EUR, download 13,50 EUR.

Glad to announce that Paul Paymans has started the definitive test build. For more of his excellent builds, Go to my Tumblr collection and search for his name. Paul is already working on the trucks (identical to those of the F-7 locomotive); here the frame is taking shape.

Very nice! The middle photo looks almost like ones I've seen of them building the originals in the factory (they build the frames upside down, and then flip them over afterwards...).

I see you put the documentation I provided to good use.

Paul is progressing steadily. As The pictures show, especially the trucks are demanding and time consuming - but very rewarding. Pictures of the real thing show a very clean aluminium colour - I think Paul has being doing some experimenting, because aluminum cannot be printed.
And the chair looks comfortable!
