Aircraft at IAH

I was I Houston recently and I thought I might share photos of some of the aircraft at IAH. Nothing out of the ordinary but still some interesting aircraft.

And a couple more…

Thought the second one would be a nice perspective on airframe weathering. Lufthansa, Air Lingus, Avianca and Singapore airlines are scheduled to come in shortly.

They used to have 3 Airbus 380's coming in around the same time. Not a good time to be in the Customs line. But they looked good parked next to each other.

Very nice, was your information about customs experience or speculation?

Just waiting on Lufthansa. Air France was added and British airlines came instead of Air Lingus.

From experience. Used to fly for Mesa, we would overnight in Mexico. Typically have an hour turn-around in Houston. But if you arrived behind an Airbus 380, it may take over an hour to get through the customs line.

By the way, you caught one of my old birds, the ATI 767, I had my last flight with her a year ago.

NO WAY!!!! I saw it waiting in line for a sandwich, and knew it was a converted freighter. We took a while to get trough customs on a full 737-800 (UA N12221), I can hardly imagine 3 A380s…

I got a couple last pics. The blurry 737 was a very polished aluminum/ silver. It looked like the retro American Airlines paint scheme. If any one has a guess on what it is, you’re better off than me. Thought the 737 with a different nose was interesting and the Alaskan 737 was a nice surprise. There’s a 9h 44m layover in Houston on our way back so hopefully I can see Qatar and Emirates.
