You might try Pollocks Toy Theatres (Google them) in Covent Garden in London.
Last time I was there they majored in - guess what, theatres! But the had other card models as well, mostly for children.
Good luck! Bailey

I wouldn't get too hopeful. I don't think I've ever seen card models in hobby shops in this country, save for a few FG postcard ones as souveniers at some historic attractions. Certainly nothing from any of the high-end Polish designers. Most 'hobby stores' here are either just model railways, plastic kits or Warhammer, or big-box stores that cater to children, sewing and general 'crafting' more than model making.

On the plus side, both London and Portsmouth are very interesting and historic places to visit.

Hello Peter. Are you here in the UK as a holiday or on business? If it's a holiday then visit as many tourist sites as you can muster as all such places have a souvenir shop attached, quite often stocking a model of the attraction or something similar. I've picked up quite a few models in this way over the years. Other places to try are local bookshops and Tourist Offices. Good hunting!

I agree with the above - the UK isn't best for models. There are two notable designers but generally their kits aren't in the shops but are on the internet.

There is one shop that has a mixture of toys and kits, but, apart for the above, the quality is not too good.

Here's the link Whirligig Creative Toy Shop | Online UK Toy Store

– Whirligig Toys Limited

I agree with Philip's suggestions if you can't find the kits you will be able to see some of worlds finest historic architecture.

Cheers
Mike
