Models for IPMS NATS, July 2024

I will be helping to set up the Fine Scale Paper Models SIG (Special Interest Group) display at the IPMS national convention in Madison, WI next July.

We have a whole 8-foot table for the display, and I want to include as wide a range of subjects as possible.

I don't build armor, and I would like to include at least one detailed tank or other military model, 1/25 scale or larger. I'm looking for someone to lend a military model to the display.

I have built lots of 1/87-scale structures for my model railroad, but if someone can lend a castle or cathedral, I would prefer to include that.

If you plan to attend, let me know. If you want to ship a model to me, I will ship it back after the show. (North American addresses only, due to the cost of shipping.)

If you have a model to share or want to build one, PM me or, preferably, email me at [email protected]. Each displayed model will labeled to identify the builder and his or her hometown.

This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our hobby to a huge audience of experienced scale modelers and enthusiasts and, just maybe, to lure a few of them "over to the dark side."

Since I kinda stirred the pot a little, I am currently planning on attending. I will have armor and will try to bring a built up castle or Cathedral as well.

Does anyone else want to contribute a military vehicle or a cathedral?
I'd also like to include a sailing ship, but I have no idea how one would send it.

Looking on the IPMS nationals website page for the "tiger meet" (SIG display area) I'm seeing two paper model groups the Fine Scale one and then a second one that just says "paper models". Wonder what that one is all about?

I'll be there with some armor and a cathedral in tow, along with a few other odd ball subjects.
