What happened to World of Paper Tanks?
Most of the download links on the new .ru World of Tanks site are dead. What happened?
I had an archive of all of those models, but it was on a flash drive that died when I accidentally plugged it into a charge port. |

This info was shared at reddit...
most, if not all WOPT models are here. Update your browser to use Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Sites, Slides, and Forms - Google Drive Help The Google Drive folder share appears to be legit...but, you never know. If we find out otherwise, it will have to be removed. I read, that a member from this very forum had something to do with it and it was shared through pm.com originally? As far as I know, the files were free to share, they just aren't being promoted any more since the WOPT site was shuttered. Just the other day I saw the WoT logo on some Italeri plastic kits. And Revell of Germany also has kits: Revell GmbH | World of Tanks | Model Kits I'm guessing a branding deal was made with the model company. In that case, they may have decided its in their own interest to stop promoting the free paper kits or Revell/Italeri may have demanded it. This is what would have forced the closure of the WOPT site.

I heard that author either was drafted to army or died already in Ukraine. I'm not sure if that rumor was about WoPT models or one of other paper model designers.
Either way we shouldn't be expecting new models from this source unless someone else picks up the baton. |
