Every modern airliner is required to have a umber of self illuminating exit signs. The signs use tritium which is mildly radioactive.
The odd thing is that while they are absolutely required to be in place and functional (no signs - no fly), they are considered radioactive hazardous material and are not allowed to shipped by air.

I would just LOVE to see someone make this one in card.:D:D I'd prefer the Marine version in 1/48th but the Army version would be most welcome!! I'ts been offered as a vacuformed kit and recently as an expensive multi-media kit, both of these in 1/72.
