My first kits were a complete set of FG disks (and shortly thereafter a lifetime magic key).

My latest kits that I purchased were a 1:1 scale Tommy gun, and a Lafayette class submarine (both of which are Trent Henry designs.

While the majority of my building involves DGA beta builds and my own designs, I think it is outright FUN and educational to build something from different designers!

First Kit: Fiddler's Green. I can't remember the first purchased, but the first built was a MiG 3 while I was stationed in Korea.

Latest Purchase: Skoda P.14.01

Next Purchase: Something from e-Cardmodels. Either a Albatros D.III or CT's latest Confederate ship, CSS North Caralina. Who am I kidding? It'll probably be both and a Type VII U-boat tossed in with 'em.

First kit purchased (and built) was a small Schreiber (sp?) castle - Lichtenstein I think. Most recent purchase was the Crosby Cr 3 from Fiddler's Green for FGMM contest - construction underway. Next purchase will probably be another of the FG 1930s racers.

First - MM T-54, 70% built
Last - GPM Hecht unbuilt
I have collected many publishings over the last several years. I was a plastic builder/collector for 25 years - gave away 500+ kits to a local charity when the paper building bug bit me. I still do the same with paper that I did with plastic - when I see a new interesting subject I buy it - the good thing is - I can buy a really nice Tiger I & not spend $60 + another $20 to $40 for detailing it - just paper, glue, scissors, good references and alot of imagination with an occasional trip to the craft store :o)

I can relate...I was in plastics for many, many years. My wife said the other day that the one thing she did like about card modeling...it is cheap! Well, for the most part anyways! lol...
