you don't cut it out...its just a rectangle of card to simulate the meshwork.
just cut out the whole thing and glue it to the inside of part 1 actually, heres how I would do it... get a small piece of fiberglass screen material (the kind thats in your patio sliding door screen) and glue it to the inside of the cricket body. then glue a bright yellow piece of paper/card behind the screen, to simulate the light glow inside the gun. no...I haven't built the cricket...I am about 1/3 way through uhu's BR Blaster!

actually, there is a peice that goes under it. no need for the yellow paper.
i agree, i think i shall get a peice of screen tomorrow.
