to qoute Jim Lovell, my favo astro -"we can bounce around the walls for five minutes but the problem remains the same" i.e. it dosn't help and does not contribute to the situation (but sometimes i don't adhere to it)
sometimes yelling at a kid is like - don't use more force, instead use a bigger hammer or if brute force doesn't help - apply more force :D
