56 Ford Customline

Soooo you wonder where the heck has Chris been (well maybe not and thats ok too)

I am trying to learn some design tools! Thats right - figure its about blasted time! I am starting off with a nice simple model for a new business idea. I am not quite ready to let the cat out of the bag on it yet but thought I would share my design process and learning on the way. Never know when someone might give me some tips!

Right now I am converting an image to an outline drawing in inkscape which will then be transferred over to blender for the 3d image. Here is the image I am using and my current progress on the line drawing.

I chose this because it was my dad's first car! Not the right colors in the image but that should be fairly easy to make as its all solids I hope!
Thanks
Chris

This initial one will be super easy but for a very specific reason... Depending on the popularity of my biz idea I may or may not release the base model for free - it all depends! Once I know how to do a complete design better I will likely make it a more complex model. The first iteration will need no instructions... trust me on that one!
Thanks!
Chris

Good job so far, Chris. I applaud you for tackling 3D. I just don't get it.
