Ford Thunderbird'55
Thank you, guys, who leave comments about Impala!
What do you think about this one? Any suggestions about scale?

Very nice! Our next door neighbor in Baltimore had one of those in black -- in 1955!
With this simple but elegant level of detail, I'd love to see you bring out this line in 1/48. Don |

While not a fan of the subject, this is a very nice simple representation of this car.
One question as I didn't pay enough attention to the Impala thread. Do these come with a design that includes axles, or at least the option to make a simple support and axle underneath? I'm thinking that these simple paper kits would be a nice time-spender to build with my son and let him play with in a few years, and something simple to allow an axle would be nice.

Very nice. I agree 1/48th would be very good for this model. Any Lincolns in the offing. I only ask because my mother (72 years old) has taken a sudden interest in paper modeling and would like to build one. I have forgotten what year/model she is looking for. Again, very nice.

You might consider 1:43 scale - already popular with some of the European publishers for civilian vehicles (Orlik, for one). It is also a popular scale for many die-cast automobile models.

For scale, 1.43 since it is the primary collector scale with 1:18 probably next. For builders, the most popular scale (in US) is 1:25 with 1:24 more the international scale for plastic model cars. As I mentioned before I prefer the more detail the better. But then I'm a hardcore car nut who has put 30 to 40 hours in just detailing a kit engine so don't know if I've a good point of reference for the market.

Change my vote to 1:43.
