The front axle is attached to the springs.
I redesigned the U-Bolts; you can see them in the pictures. The C-shaped castings at the ends of the front axle are where the steering knuckles will be placed. Ken

The 1904 Runabout gained 2 horsepower over the previous years. I am not 100% sure, but it seems logical that this is why Olds made a larger cooling box (radiator). Basically, it was a hollow box with fins and tubing; similar to today's radiators, but much less efficient. No fan or shroud; just ambient air...

Thanks guys!
I don't have much to show tonight. But I did manage to install one of the cooler lines. It is made from coat-hanger wire, scraped to bare steel. I think I will leave it plain steel - looks realistic this way. Preview of things to come: 1. The cylinder head, cam and tappets 2. The muffler and mounts Then, the fun part - the BODY! Black & Red with yellow/gold pinstripes Ken

She's a beauty!! The Yellow striping is just awesome and is a great visual cue. You really can see what's going on, which can be hard in a dark model sometimes.
