This model is looking better and better every time I visit.
My hat off to you Alan!!
And knowing your previous works, this thing is really tiny, so this shows even more your workmanship.
Once again thanks for sharing it with us.

Rats, you have found out my dirty little secret, Edgardo. Yes it is quite small:

It has been a while since my last post. The front forks have taken quite a lot of thought - they are quite complex and potentially rather flimsy. They consist of two pairs of tubes, the rear pair being attached to the frame through the steering bearing. The front pair are joined to them at the top via a sprung sliding joint. At the bottom, both pairs are attached to a rotating bracket, which also carries the front wheel.

First the steering forks. At the bottom end the tube is substantially flattened, so I made it completely flat, reinforced with thin card and slotted into the yoke joining the two sides.

The top half is tubular, but flattened at the bottom to fit over the lower part. It bears brackets for the sliding bar in the spring fork, and a cross piece for the centre post.

The spring forks are tubular almost all the way down, as they bear the compressive forces whereas the rear forks are in tension.

Once joined together the whole thing is rather stronger than I had expected.

I'm just wondering how you plan or if you plan to release this?

Zathros, it is still a bit premature to be planning distribution with so much more to do! Present thoughts are to make up a clean(ish) file of the bits enlarged to 1:7 (like the traditional Yamahas) with some basic assembly guidance, and put it up wherever someone is prepared to host it. Definitely free to use and modify, though.
